Dr. Siar has an MBBS degree(1989) from Government TD medical college Alleppey, MD(1996) Doctoral degree in General Medicine from Government Medical College, Nagpur and a DM Post doctoral degree in Cardiology from Government Medical College, Kottayam,which he obtained in 2012.
In between, in 2006, Dr. Siar did the PGDHSc in Diabetology from Annamalai University.

Dr. Siar M A earlier worked as a Physician at the Palakkad District Hospital from 1997 to 2009. Then during 2009-2012, he was Senior Resident in Cardiology at Government Medical College, Kottayam.
He is fellow of American College of Cardiology & a fellow of The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (SCAI USA).
